Editorial Standards

Our Editorial Standards

YourResourceHub exists to help older adults and the people who care for them make clearer decisions about the benefits they’re entitled to — not to sell them something. This page explains how we create, source, and review our content so you know what stands behind every article.

Who writes and reviews our content

Articles are researched and written by the YourResourceHub Editorial Team and reviewed for accuracy and sourcing by Steven Sun, founder of Bright Horizons Media, before they are published. We are a publisher, not a licensed insurance agent, financial advisor, or benefits counselor; our articles are informational and are not a substitute for professional advice or contacting Medicare.gov, SSA.gov, or the relevant agency directly.

How we source facts

Every eligibility threshold, dollar figure, and program rule we cite is drawn from a primary source — the Social Security Administration, Medicare.gov, CMS, or the relevant state agency — and linked inline so you can verify it yourself. When we cite a number, we cite where it came from, and we re-check it before republishing since Medicare and Social Security figures change with an annual cost-of-living adjustment.

How we add value

We aim to give you something you can’t get from a plan brochure or a membership pitch: exact dollar thresholds instead of vague percentages, sourced comparison tables, and plain-English explanations of the terms that decide whether you qualify. Where we translate a technical term or a dollar threshold, we explain what it means for your specific situation.

Accuracy, dating, and corrections

Medicare and Social Security rules, income limits, and dollar amounts change every year, so each article shows when it was last updated, and we revise articles when the underlying facts change. If you spot an error, tell us through our contact page and we will review and correct it.

Advertising and affiliate relationships

We never run comparison-shopping content for Medicare Advantage or Part D plans, and we never imply endorsement of a specific carrier or plan. Some articles contain affiliate links to unrelated products (such as home safety or caregiving services), which are disclosed on the article. When we earn a commission it never changes our editorial judgment, and it comes at no extra cost to you. Articles about government programs never carry a commercial link at all.
